About me

Dogs have been my passion for as long as I can remember.

I'm David, I'm 29, and I've been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember. I bought and trained my first dog at fourteen, and since then I've trained, walked and looked after dogs all over the world.

By trade I'm a data analyst, but dogs have always been the real passion. Moving to Bath with Honey, my Duck Tolling Retriever, felt like the right moment to build my work around them.

I want to take some of the stress out of owning a dog for people in the neighbourhood. That means a walker you can rely on, a happy dog at the end of the day, and a short note with photos after every walk so you know exactly how it went.

David

Why it matters

A well-exercised dog is a happy dog.

The right amount of exercise

The most important thing for a dog's happiness is getting the exercise it needs. I've owned high-energy dogs my whole life, so I know what a spaniel or a retriever really needs: a proper run, time to sniff and explore, and coming home content rather than restless.

Whatever the weather

This is England, and dogs still need walking when it's blowing a gale or pouring with rain. The walk goes ahead whatever the weather, so you don't have to leave work early or face the towpath in a downpour. Leave a towel by the door and I'll dry your dog off and wipe muddy paws before they go back inside.

Meet Honey

Every walk comes with a companion.

Honey is my own dog, a ginger Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and she comes on every walk. She's calm, sociable and very good at showing new dogs how a walk is done.

For a nervous or young dog, a steady friend often helps more than anything I can say. Honey meets your dog at the meet & greet, so they're already acquainted before the first walk.

Her interests include the canal towpath, other people's picnics and the occasional ice cream after a long one.

The walks

Bathwick has some of the best walking in the city.

Parkland · on lead

Sydney Gardens

A loop under the railway and over the canal bridges. Good for younger dogs and quieter days.

Towpath · flat

Kennet & Avon Canal

East along the towpath towards Bathampton. Level ground, plenty of smells, swans to ignore.

Open fields · off lead

Bathwick Fields

Wide meadows above the city with views back over Bath, for dogs with reliable recall.

Hills · longer

Bathwick Hill & Claverton

A steeper route for fit, energetic dogs who come home properly tired.

ZiggySpringer Spaniel
★★★★★
“Finding someone who can actually tire out a Springer Spaniel is like finding gold dust, but David is that person! Ziggy has boundless energy, and David’s walks are always an adventure. Whether it’s a muddy romp in the fields or a brisk walk along the canal, David keeps Ziggy physically and mentally stimulated. I love receiving the photo updates of a happy, exhausted spaniel at the end of the day. If you need a reliable walker in Bath who truly understands high-energy breeds, David is your man.”

RalphieSprocker Spaniel
★★★★★
“Ralphie is a Sprocker, so he’s got a nose that never stops working and energy to burn. David has been a lifesaver for us in Bristol. He is incredibly patient and clearly loves the dogs he walks. He understands Ralphie’s need to sniff and explore, but also ensures he’s safe and well-behaved. It’s such a relief to know that while I’m at work, Ralphie is out having a brilliant time rather than sitting at home bored. David is professional, punctual, and genuinely cares about the dogs. Highly recommended!”

BellaDachshund
★★★★★
“Bella is a little diva and can be quite particular about who she trusts, but she absolutely adores David. As a Dachshund, she can’t do the marathon walks that other dogs do, and David is fantastic at tailoring the pace to suit her little legs. He is always mindful of her back and makes sure she isn't overdoing it, while still making sure she gets her important socialisation and sniff time. It is so reassuring to have someone so gentle and attentive looking after her. Five stars from Bella and me!”
